Hello! Its awesome to see you again. You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks, again, for visiting!
… and its driving me insane! There was a dire need to move on to a better and powerful computer. For the last two of the five years that I’ve had this current PC, I’d be dreading when my now obsolete PC would cough, sputter and just give up every time I’d work with a dense model, photo-chop my way in Photoshop, swap files between AutoCAD & SketchUp, ah pack up when loading my music library in Winamp. And then it literally would!

Also, all through the Swinburne days, I had exclusive student privileges at home. Allowing me to evict Meenal at a second’s notice. Meenal uses her time at the PC almost exclusively for our banking, mails and Skype sessions with friends and family back home. And it was also this issue of being disturbed in “her time”, that led her to propose we go for a second machine when we could afford one. We were unanimous in our decision for a laptop for myself too. Primarily, because I could get more done, shuttling work between office and home; and I needn’t be tied down to one corner of the house when Meenal (and the TV) was in the other…
But for someone who’s been using a PC till date, why a Macbook Pro now? I’d used one that belonged to a friend extensively during one of our university presentations and remember being blown away with what it could do… and obviously the way it did it. I remember being so infatuated by apple’s wonderful design of the MBP and swearing to myself that the day it could support some Windows applications that I used extensively, I’d buy one. So there you go. Looking forward to Leopard and Bootcamp and Windows on a Mac. Now only if I could fast-forward the wait…
