I still get goosebumps…

Hello! Thanks for dropping by. Its great to see you. This is a personal blog of Benson John, a 29 year old interior designer / photographer / 3D visualizer / music & movie lover living in Melbourne, Australia. This blog is a personal and growing archive of links, rambles, rants, thoughts, ideas, anecdotes and random musings - as well as an array of projects I have worked, or am working, on. It is also a place to gather some of the author's assorted web activities, like photos, links and music. You may want to subscribe to Morph8's RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

… seeing all these months of brainstorming, conceptuals, drawings, drafting, tendering and executing; finally turn into a living, breathing space. The entire journey from the sprouting idea to a concrete implementation is a taxing but, ultimately, very rewarding journey. May I take this opportunity to present, my first corporate tenancy project with DesignPhase Australia. The project scale was about 35,000 sq. ft. split across three levels of a prominent CBD address. These were the Melbourne offices for the publishing house, Macmillan Publishers Australia. I’d like to show you preliminary sketches developed by me and the finished photos of the project by the acclaimed Toni Miller from ArchiPhoto.

Board-room; the ancillary board-room is separated by an operable wall that can be drawn across to split them.

Now you know, why I’ve been away from the blog for a while… Ah! Well, no matter how many times I’ve been down this path, it always is a rush seeing these spaces come together on the other side.
